Genially A Tool for Presentation with A New Style

In times of a pandemic like today, it requires us to do school online. The high number of cases of exposure to the Covid-19 virus has made online schooling periods extended. At the tertiary level, the solution used for online schools is to use e-learning. One of the tools used by lecturers to provide material is by providing links to e-learning, the links that are shared can be in the form of links from Genially, YouTube, and so on. However, this time I want to reflect on a tool, namely Genially.

Genially is a tool used for presentations, we can also create maps in it, add photos and videos, and we can also work in groups on a project with this tool. I like this tool, because it is easy to use, simple in appearance, fast, and can be used to collaborate.

The things I like best is that Genially has a lot of templates so that we can choose according to our wishes, Genially very suitable for use in education, many templates have educational themes. In the template, we can choose which page we want to use and we can also duplicate it. We can also edit the appearance according to what we want, also can change the shape of the writing that we want. If the presentation is ready to be made, we can also set the transition for each page that we make, so that the presentation will be more interesting to look at. However, behind that, there is a thing I don't like, which is that sometimes in a template each page has almost the same background so it doesn't look varied.

The advantages of this tool are that we can create educational resources such as presentations in class online, can make a game in this tool, we can be creative by collaborating with partners or groups, can share wherever we are, can be presented directly, uploaded on social networks, send via the link, and can also be downloaded as a PDF. Besides, we can also use Genially for free with a wide selection of templates and the files will be stored neatly, even if a sudden problem occurs, the file will be saved automatically. The disadvantages of this tool are the need for high network capacity when in the process of making a presentation, having to log in first (it's okay for me), and there is no free font available like the one presented in Microsoft Word so we can only select the font in the text menu.

The challenges in trying this tool are that we have to register using an email and password for the first time, then select a category. After that, the choice of template is challenged because of the many choices that make it confused to choose it. In the process of making a presentation, patience and caution are needed. When suddenly the network is not connected or the network is low, we have to be patient. However, on the whole, this is fun because it can try new things with existing challenges.

We can take advantage of this tool during a pandemic like this, so we don't need to download the file first to be able to see it, just click the link provided in e-learning. We can make presentations online and share them with anyone, anywhere. This is very useful for students online because students don't need to leave the house and hang out with others to reduce the risk of being exposed to the Covid-19 virus. Students can access this tool from their respective homes and there is no need to come to class. Likewise, if we want to present a project we don't need to be confused, just use Genially and it can also be done collaboratively and share. After the material that we get through the presentation from Genially, we can also make a quiz through Kahoot!, Google form, Quizziz, and so on to train the extent to which they understand the material presented, or vice versa the lecturer makes a quiz to practice our understanding.

 In the language class, we are also taught how to make various presentations, not only focusing on Microsoft PowePoint. We can use this tool in language classes to be able to understand more deeply about the material in points and also an attractive appearance so that we are interested in understanding it because usually students feel bored with long and many pages of writing. Maybe teaching like this can help students and lecturers to be able to intensely with the material presented and absorbed. Activities carried out by students can be by opening a question-and-answer session, gaining experience about something, and being able to be creative, innovative, and productive.

Hello! Guys. How is everyone? Back again on my blog. This time, I want to review an application, namely Google Slides. Alright, let's read it until it's finished, friends.

What is Google Slides? Surely you are familiar with the word Google, and maybe one of you doesn't know about Google Slides, a professional tool offered by Google. If you have never used it, you don't need to think about it if you want to present it to a forum. Google Slides is a great choice. Besides, what makes Google Slides even better is that it's a free online presentation software tool.

I like this Google Slides because for me it doesn't really make me feel awkward without the help of other people (self-taught), so it's suitable for beginners because it doesn't make a headache in the presentation process. The things that I like about this tool are that presentations can be presented online or offline, through Google Slides, we can use the online presentation version with features that are always up to date so we can follow the developments of this Google Slides. Google Slides can also help us work as a team, and this is not a problem for Google Slides and we can share via the internet network with anyone, and we can arrange for anyone who can access it so that the sharing you do can be safe. Google Slides also provides features like formatting slides, changing slides, importing images and videos, and many more eye-catching features. Moreover, because this is a tool from Google, we can publish the result of our presentations online. We can use the link to share our presentation safely. However, from some of the things that Google Slides provides with interesting things, there are things I don't like namely, the choice of themes or effects is only a few, so when compared to other applications such as Microsoft PowerPoint there are still many choices in this application. Besides that, when I accessed it there were some annoying advertisements, but it was natural for me.

With a pandemic like this, many of us are doing school online (from our respective homes), so we need the help of tools or applications such as Google Slides to present to friends or teachers to students. In contrast, we can enjoy the advantages of this Google Slides, including we can use this tool for free, even though there are some premium features, but Google Slides facilitates many interesting features for free, so we don't need to worry. Another thing is that Google Slides is presented simply and makes beginners feel easy to use, and in this Google Slides it is cloud-based where if there is a power outage or suddenly lost the network, the file that we create will be saved automatically so we don't have to worry. Besides, we can also collaborate with the team if needed. But on the other hand, the disadvantage in Google Slides is that you have to use Gmail, so those of us who don't have a Gmail account have to create one first to be able to access this Google Slides, it's different from using Microsoft PowerPoint without using Gmail, so just go straight in.

Overall, using a tool from Google, namely Google Slides, has its challenges, namely, because this is a tool from Google, we must be ethical, because most of it is used online and we share in cyberspace, we must be able to maintain our security.

We can take advantage of this Google Slides into our learning process that is done online. We can make presentations both individually and as a team. Moreover, this online school, especially students, asks a lot of us to make presentations individually or in groups. Through online schools that certainly use the internet, we can share our presentations with others online so that this can help in the learning process at this time.

Good night all! See you again on my blog. This time I will discuss the English Speaking Practice application. English Speaking Practice is an application to practice your English in speaking and listening with short English conversations. I like this application, because this application is not boring and there are many menu options according to what we want. What I like best is that this application can make us understand English, understand the language of communication from outsiders, and can improve our speaking. However, there are things I don't like, namely the files we have to download first.

The advantages contained in this application are that it can help us improve our English, can give us a sense of confidence to be able to speak English, and there is also English conversation for beginners and also early business trial rankings. The drawback of this application is that we must have a very good connection to be able to access it. The challenge in using this application is that we have to have levels in English conversation, because a good way to be able to speak English is to be able to practice it.

Hello everyone! Today I want to review an application that is Lyrics Trainig. Lyrics Training is an easy and fun way to learn and improve your foreign language skills, through music videos and lyrics of your favorite songs. Lyrics Training also has a special karaoke mode that lets you sing and enjoy full lyrics. I like this Lyrics Training application, because through this application I can express myself through music because I like listening to music and it also helps me improve my foreign language, namely English. What I really like about this application is that we can search for any song titles we like, there are lyrics to songs that we play, help us learn new vocabulary and expressions and improve grammar concepts through the exercises we do. On the other hand, the things I don't like are missing, because I like these. The advantages of this application are that this application has a fun way to learn foreign languages, presents us with various music that is our favorite, and can learn the accents of various foreign languages. The drawback of this application is the time limit when playing. The challenge of using this application is that we have to train our ears to listen to each of the lyrics.

Hello guys, how are your activities in a pandemic like this? Instead of being confused, let's learn with the Duolingo application, let's review this application.

Duolingo is a free learning app created by Luis Von Ahn and Severin Hacker. Duolingo is a course application for learning English, with this application we can be helped through its features. Through online schools like what we have experienced like this, the duolingo application is able to accompany us to study from home.

For me, this application is suitable for me who want to learn English. So I like this application because it can help me in learning English plus nowadays which requires learning from home.

As for the features that I like, this application is shaped like a game for children, so that users don't feel bored when using it. Then, there are animated pictures so that we can feel at home playing this application, we can play while learning, there are playing levels to test our skills, there is also an all-in-one language; learn to speak, write, listen and read.

But there are things that I don't like about this application, namely, sometimes already at a high level, suddenly I have to return to the first level. This case is not that heavy, because there are many advantages that we can get, namely; You can add more vocabulary, improve your English ability, you can learn popular vocabulary used in everyday life, be taught how to pronounce them, and also be trained in speaking, listening, and writing.

The drawback of this application is that it is sometimes difficult to communicate with friends who have been followed. But for the whole, using this application makes me challenged, because in this application there is a reward system, progress, and interesting graphics that can provide motivation to solve language challenges.
